Progresso Commons

Progresso Commons will contain 34,239 square feet on a 4.81-acre site on the south side of West Sunrise Boulevard between Andrews Avenue and Northwest 2 Avenue in the Progresso neighborhood, less than ½ mile north of downtown Fort Lauderdale. The center will include a 19,054 square foot Aldi grocery store, a 6,199 square foot Wawa, 8,769 square feet of general retail space, and a 217 square foot retail kiosk. Surface parking consisting of 180 spaces will provide for 5.25 spaces per 1,000 square feet of retail. All of this information was provided by the City of Fort Lauderdale. The developer is Project Andrews, LLC, managed by Harvey Taylor of Dallas, Texas. An urban design was approved by the Northwest Regional Activity Center on May 17, 2017. Funding and planning slowed the commencement of the project. Construction is still in progress as of March 2020.
